Renewing my Indian passport - Part 2 - Got my new passport

From the "black-hole" I got the new passport, it took less than a month. OK for me, be nice to them, you will get it. I called the Houston Indian consulate "black-hole" because you cannot get in contact with them, unless you physically visit :) The old passport is cancelled and returned.

We need biometrics information also in the passport, I think. I know it's breaching our privacy, but just look at the passport, anybody can print one like that. The immigration offices at the port of entry/departure doesn't cross check it with any database for the persons picture or something. "If" the officer is in doubt, he/she just questions the person??? Hello, the cons are not idiots... I heard that IIT (Chennai I think) developed a biometric thing and govt is first implementing for diplomats passports... We need to implement it for all passport holders...

Another thing we should finger-print all foreigners visiting India. USA is doing it and they didn't liked it when Brazil started doing the same... One more example of american hypocrisy...
